Mr. Segura joined Covia in September 2023, bringing extensive industry and leadership experience honed during his career at Halliburton. In his most recent role there, Mr. Segura was the senior vice president of the global completion and production division. Previous roles include both R&D and business leadership, as well as international experience. A dual degree in economics and chemistry from Wabash College led to a PhD in chemistry from Rice University as well as an MBA from the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University.

Jeff Wood joined Covia in April 2024 as Chief Financial Officer, Energy. Mr. Wood brings extensive financial leadership and industry experience, having served as CFO for over a decade across a mix of private and public companies in the sector. He began his career with Lehman Brothers in its energy investment banking division, advising oil and gas clients on M&A and capital markets transactions, and has since served as CFO for four private and publicly traded energy companies. Most recently, he served as the CFO of BayoTech, Inc., a private equity-backed company commercializing distributed hydrogen production. Prior to that, Mr. Wood served as President and CFO of Black Stone Minerals, one of the largest pure-play owners of oil and natural gas mineral interests in the U.S. He has a proven record of raising capital, leading growth initiatives, and overseeing mergers and acquisitions in the natural resources sector. Mr. Wood also serves as a director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of USD Partners, LP, an MLP focused on acquiring and operating energy related rail terminals. He earned his BA in Business Administration from Baylor University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Joining Covia in June 2024, Mr. Wiley will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to Covia Energy for the safety, environmental, engineering, supply chain, mining, operations excellence, and manufacturing teams to effectively grow the organization and increase operating efficiency. He has over thirty-five years of exceptional experience in global operations and supply chain leadership, most recently serving as the Global Vice President, Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain for Glatfelter, Inc. Previously, he served in strategic operations and supply chain leadership roles of increasing responsibility with Sherwin-Williams, before leading global operations and supply chain for Cardinal Health, Owens & Minor, and Global Industrial Supply. During his career, Mr. Wiley also started his own consultancy business, Intrinsic Solutions Group, providing strategy and M&A support for privately held businesses in manufacturing, logistics, and transportation. He earned his BS in Management from Webber International University and an MBA from the University of Georgia.
