BALL CLAY
Ball clays provide strength and plasticity for forming.

KAOLINS
Kaolins typically rely on finer particle size selections to improve strength and plasticity. Low iron and titanium content can help support cleaner fired color.

FLUXES
Fluxes such as feldspar, nepheline syenite and talc may be used depending on body type and firing requirements.

FILLERS
Fillers are used to balance body performance and cost. Silica is the most common filler, while alumina may be used when higher fired strength or whiter fired color is needed.
