Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Deckard serves as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Covia, a Cleveland, Ohio-based provider of minerals and materials solutions for the energy and industrial sectors. Ms. Deckard has been with the company since 1994, most recently serving as President and CEO since 2013. She previously was President 2011-2013, CFO 1999-2011, and held various other financial leadership positions. Ms. Deckard received a B.S. from the University of Tulsa, her C.P.A. certification from the State of Missouri and an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for RPM International Inc (NYSE:RPM). Ms. Deckard and her family are actively engaged in many efforts to advance education and to strengthen communities, and she currently serves on the advisory boards of the Cleveland Foundation and the EDWINS Foundation.
EVP, Chief Commercial Officer
Mr. Clancey is Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Covia, a Cleveland, Ohio-based provider of minerals and materials solutions for the energy and industrial sectors. He held that same position at Fairmount Santrol from 2015 until it merged with Connecticut-based Unimin in mid-2018 to form Covia. At Covia, Mr. Clancey is responsible for Domestic and International Sales into the Energy and Industrial channels, as well as leadership for Supply Chain and Logistics. Previously, Mr. Clancey served as Fairmount Santrol’s Executive Vice President of Supply Chain and Industrial sales since 2011, Vice President of Sales for Industrial from 2002 to 2011, and General Sales Manager for Fairmount Santrol’s TechniSand resin-coated foundry division from 1998 to 2002. Mr. Clancey received a B.S. from Kent State University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Notre Dame.
EVP, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Jones is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Covia, a Cleveland, Ohio-based provider of minerals and materials solutions for the energy and industrial sectors. He previously served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of Connecticut-based Unimin before its mid-2018 merger with Fairmount Santrol to form Covia. He was also Group Chief Operating Officer of Sibelco, Unimin’s parent company; and had been with Sibelco or its affiliates since 2000. He also served as Managing Director of Sibelco Australia Limited from 2006 to 2014, and Executive General Manager/Chief Operating Officer of Sibelco Australia Limited from 2000 to 2006. Prior to joining Unimin, Mr. Jones was Executive General Manager at Commercial Minerals from 1997 to 2000 and Managing Director at Envirotech Australia from 1992 to 1997. Mr. Jones received a B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
EVP, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Eich serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Covia. In this role, he provides leadership for managing all financial aspects of the company. Prior to the establishment of Covia, Mr. Eich served as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Connecticut-based Unimin and served on the Unimin Board of Directors. From 2004 to 2012, Mr. Eich served in a variety of roles at Aetos Capital, an Asia-focused real estate private equity firm, including roles in M&A, portfolio management, corporate finance and investor relations. Mr. Eich started his career at KPMG LLP in New York, where he worked from 2002 to 2004 in KPMG’s assurance practice. Mr. Eich received a B.A. in Management Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. Mr. Eich is a CPA (inactive) and CFA charter holder.
EVP, Chief Administrative Officer
Mr. Richardson serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer of Covia. In this capacity, he provides leadership for the company’s Human Resources, Information Technology, Risk Management, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development functions. Prior to the establishment of Covia, Mr. Richardson served as EVP, Chief People Officer at Fairmount Santrol from 2015 to 2018. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Richardson was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Global Finishes Group of The Sherwin-Williams Company. Mr. Richardson received a B.A. in Finance from Baldwin Wallace University and M.B.A. from The Ohio State University. Mr. Richardson serves on the National Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association as Vice Chairman, Chair of the Compensation Committee and Member of the Executive Committee. Locally, he serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of Greater Cleveland, where he is Chair of the Human Resources Committee and Member of the Executive Committee.
EVP, General Counsel and Secretary
Mr. Reynolds serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Covia, a Cleveland, Ohio-based provider of minerals and materials solutions for the energy and industrial sectors. He is responsible for the company’s legal, corporate governance, and compliance functions. Prior to joining Covia, he served as EVP, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Stage Stores in Houston, TX. Mr. Reynolds received a B.A. from Indiana State University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) professional degree in law from the Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio.
